Ian Stephens N.D.D. ( Illustration & Lettering)

Born Great Linford, Bucks in 1940
Studied in Northampton and gained an N.D.D. in Illustration & Lettering - (1961) followed by a career in teaching and graphic design. Elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 1984 and served on the Council 1986-1990.
Invited to membership of the Society of Wood Engravers in 1984 (Chairman 1992-95).
Past-President of the Northampton Town and County Art Society (1987-9). Works are in a variety of mediums though predominantly wood engraving and printmaking. Subject matter is mainly landscape- its form, its uses and its denizens.
